FICTIONAL VISUAL DIRECTIONS Back to selected concepts ↗

THE THINKING BEHIND THE LAYOUT

A direction.
Then the details.

These are illustrative visual studies within the Fieldwork sample, not separate completed client websites. Both use original CSS compositions and fictional brand names.

CONCEPT / 01

Common Ground

The imagined brief: a small garden design studio needs a welcoming introduction and one clear path to explore its work.

The direction: an earthy palette, a soft arch, and botanical shapes establish a calm visual tone. A compact header and short headline keep the visitor oriented.

What a full build would need: approved project photography, real service copy, a gallery, and an agreed enquiry workflow.

CONCEPT / 02

Form & Practice

The imagined brief: an architecture practice wants its work to feel clear and considered without a dense homepage.

The direction: a restrained blue-gray palette, a strong typographic opening, and a geometric architectural composition give the page an editorial rhythm.

What a full build would need: licensed architectural images, project stories, an accessible image gallery, and real business details.

The working deliverable is the Fieldwork landing page and its component system. These compositions illustrate visual range without implying client work, shipped integrations, or measured results.
